jellybaby and blossoms
So, today we did our wee trip to the Saratoga Farmers’ Market, which is open year round, much to my amazement. Evidently, after almost two years in California, I’m still not used to the idea of no full on winter. The market is held in the giant car park of the West Valley College and today it was full of trees in spring blossom bloom. So, with my trusty Nikon D90 in hand, I went wandering through the car park and took a bunch of photos of the blossoms. However, my favourite photo from today was the one above, of our new (as of November 2012) Fiat 500, named “Jellybaby”. Being from Australia, I think of the car as the Fiat Bambino, but I guess “500” will do just fine. We had decided last year that, after around ten years of sharing the one car (a wonderful Subaru Impreza) that having a second car for my guy’s work commute would be a good idea so that I didn’t have to use up my time taking him to work every day. It’s turned out to be a fantastic idea and has certainly given us both a greater feeling of freedom. Particularly important, really, as I’m starting my Masters degree very soon (as in Monday), so the more time freedom I have, the better! I did want to include some photos of the blossoms, however, so they follow…
