white-tailed kite

We were out hiking up a nearby mountain today when I saw what I thought was some sort of owl. After some searching on the intertubes, I found out that this bird is most probably a white-tailed kite. I’d never seen one before, so that was a rather special treat. So, so pretty, and making me wish that I had some lenses good enough for birding!
